Anna Kimm, a Charlotte-based artist, combines classic pop sounds with a new age alternative twist. Her sound has been in the making since the age of 8, when Anna’s parents gave her a Baby Taylor guitar. Anna was raised in Salisbury, NC by a family with music in their DNA. Taking after her father as both a vocalist and guitarist with a passion for timeless music, Anna began writing music in college with her brother Liam. Her love for singing paired with Liam’s knack for writing has produced complex lyrics and messages conveyed through an effortless and soothing sound. Anna and Liam released three singles in 2017 under the group name New Hope’s Jet Stream and now perform as solo artists, but continue to write and produce music together. Anna began a career in public health but recently left to pursue her dream of making music her livelihood. With music as her full-time focus, she has spent her time curating an EP set to be released some time in 2024.
