Private Events

With a large open area, Confluence can be transformed to host a variety of events for your group!

Here’s what you’ll need to know to book the space:

The Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization based in McAdenville, NC and responsible for preserving, protecting, and restoring the Catawba-Wateree River Basin which includes more than 8,900 miles of waterways in 26 counties in North and South Carolina including the South Fork River, the largest tributary of the Catawba. Catawba Riverkeeper operates for use by its members and their guests a Private Club in Cramerton, NC at 117 Center Street called Confluence.  

Only Catawba Riverkeeper full members may request rental of the spaces that make up Confluence for use. A Catawba Riverkeeper “full member” or “member” is defined as an individual donor of $60, volunteer for 2 hours (value of $60), corporate donor of $250, or non-profit/association/municipality of in-kind within an 18-month period.    

  • Full Membership – Full membership in Catawba Riverkeeper entitles individuals, families, and businesses to join at the levels and with the benefits outlined online on our membership page. Anyone not able to complete an online membership form may request one sent to them via mail by emailing development@catawbariverkeeper.org and requesting a membership application form.  

 “Guests”, defined as an attendee of a full member who has rented one of the spaces within Confluence, may attend events hosted by a member that are deemed private events where the member rents the use of the facility exclusively for their private event.  

As a non-partisan, 501c3 non-profit entity, Catawba Riverkeeper does not allow rental of our spaces to any partisan political entity or candidate for organizing or fundraising events. Non-partisan candidate forums, town hall style events for current elected officials, and issue forums may be allowed with the review and approval of the Executive Director and Policy Manager.

*READ BELOW IF YOU PLAN TO RENT DURING OPEN BUSINESS HOURS!

A reminder that when you rent Confluence during OPEN business hours, you are only renting a portion of it. Your event will be open to the public unless otherwise discussed, and your rental will include the space from our merchandise to the stage (essentially the art area, stage, and soft seating). The merchandise and bar area is available to anyone who walks into the space, as are the restrooms at the back of the building! If you prefer a private environment and have to have your event during open hours, we suggest you head over the the River Room where we have a private room available to you.
